Melbournest umbes poole tunni kaugusel on üks populaarsemaid turistiatraktsioone ja selleks on Brighton Bathing Boxes! Mitukümmend värvilist "insta tausta" haha! Viisingi oma sõbranna Eva sinna, kes tuli paariks päevaks Melbourne enne kodumaale naasmist. Nii äge oli jälle kokku saada, sest töötasime Gold Coastis koos ning Sydney's käies saime samuti kokku kuna siis elas ta seal. Ja nüüd on viisa läbi ning aeg koju minna. Ma ei taha mõeldagi, kui mul see aeg kätte jõuab, sest kujutan ette kui palju segadust see emotsionaalselt tekitab. Aga tähistasime ta eelviimast päeva mõnusa piknikuga ning väikse veiniga! Nautisime ookeani ääres olemist ning õhtu lõpetasime teises ranna pingviinide vaatamisega. ;)
Täna on meil riigipüha, sest käimas on Melbourne Cup, mis on hobuste võidusõit, what stops the nation! Me ise kohapeale ei läinud, sest ei tahtnud olla ümbritsetud tuhandete purjus inimestega ning selle meluga ning plaanisime hoopis kuskile väljasõitu aga see oli suht feil. Meil on nädal aega võimalus kasutada autot ning meil peikaga oli mõlemal kaks vaba päeva ja muidugist ilm otsustas kräpp olla! Niiet jääme paremaid ilmasid ootama, sest meil on nii palju ideid, kuhu sõita ja mis uusi kohtasid avastada! Oleks pidanud võib-olla ikkagi Austraalia kõige suuremale sündmusele minema, sest elan ju siin Melbournes ja veel 15min kaugusel, aga noo üldse ei viitsinud haha! Vaatasime hoopis kodust ja ei läinud kuskile välja. Kui aus olla siis mul on väga vastastikused tunded selle ürituse suhtes, sest ma ei toeta hobuste võidusõitu, aga Melbourne Cupiga tegin erandi, sest see on ikkagist nagu main-event-of-the-year ning võtsin osa, kuigi natuke kahetsen. Never again! Bookisime täna lõpuks ka oma campervani ära Uus-Meremaa jaoks ja ma ei jõua ära oodata veebruari!!! Nüüd aga hüppame mullivanni, kuid enne teen oma häid vegeburkse hehe! 2 päeva puhkust on läbi, sest homsest jälle tagasi kool/töö rütmi. ;)

Only half an hour on a train from CBD and you get to Brighton Bathing boxes! It's one of the most popular tourist attractions here and most popular beaches. Oh goshh, every time when I think about Melbourne beaches I get annoyed, because they are soooo shit compared to all other Australian beaches where I have been!!! Don't get me wrong, we still have some gorgeous beaches here in Victoria, but you gotta drive like 1-2 hours haha! Not like in Gold Coast or Perth... Crystal blue water on your doorstep... (I am crying inside.) Anyways, didn't want to complain about beaches (even tho it's an only downside living in Melbourne) so actually wanted to share photos of my trip to Brighton with my friend Eva! You will get around 50 cool colourful "insta backgrounds" there haha! We celebrated Eva's last days in Australia because her visa had come to an end. Damn I even don't wanna think about it when it's my turn!
Today we have a public holiday because of the Melbourne Cup, the race what stops the nation! Literally. I still don't understand why they need a public holiday for that, quite pointless in my opinion. We decided not to go there, mostly because we wanted to go and explore Melbourne surroundings because we had the ability to use the car for a week, but surprise, surprise the weather decided to be crap, like always. Anyways, we watched the race at home and didn't go anywhere to celebrate. I couldn't be bothered of going there and being surrounded with thousands of drunk people haha! Part of me doesn't support horse racing but I made an exception for the Melbourne Cup, just to be a part of it. But never again! I really needed some time off and these 2 days have been very relaxing. I am a bit sad that we couldn't go for any adventures on our days off but hopefully the weather will be on our side next time. But at least we finally booked our campervan for New Zealand! Really looking forward to February now! Now it's time to make some veggie burgers and enjoy the hot tub! ;) Time to get back to school/work rhythm from tomorrow, yayy! xx
